Family and Conference Weekend

My family came down over the weekend to bring stuff down for my grandma and because it was UEA up there. They got here Wednesday night and stayed until Sunday. Diesl had a blast playing with his aunts and uncle.

Satuday morning we got up early and headed to Zions National Park. Clarissa, Tyler, and Marquesas had never been before and my parents hadn't been in a long time. Adam and I hadn't been up for a couple of years so we were excited.

Waiting for the shuttle to take us up to the park. It was a little chilly but a perfect day for hiking.

Riding the shuttle in Zions to our first hike, "Emerald Pools."

On our way to the pools, we saw some deer. They were maybe 6 ft. off the trail (obviously used to human folk.) They looked kinda sickly.

Stopping along the way to take some pics of the beautiful red rock cliffs.

First Stop: Lower "Emerald Pool" There is a waterfall that comes from the Middle Pool and falls into the Lower one.

On our way up to the Middle Pool.

Taking a breather on our way down from the Middle Pool

Another shot in front of the red rock

After eating lunch at Zion's lodge, we headed to our last stop, "Weeping Rock." We decided to ride the bus the rest of the way up the Canyon just to look at the beautiful scenery. We saw rock climbers on this HUGE straight up and down cliff and people on Angel's Landing (SCARY!) Diesl fell asleep on the bus. We were all pretty much exhausted. People were looking at me like what in the heck are you doing here. It was quite humerous.

On Saturday night, while the men were at Priesthood session, the girls (and Diesl) went to Ladies Night at the Boulevard where Adam works. They had a whole bunch of booths set up so you could sample things and also buy things. There was a photography company taking pics for free so we got this silly picture. We had fun getting jewelery and hair accessories. We ate dinner and then stayed to see if we won any of the big prizes. Of course, we didn't but oh well.

Later that night when the guys got back, we ate skookies and relaxed. It was A LOT of walking for one day.

Sunday, after the first session of Conference, my family headed home. We took them to feed the ducks on their way out. It was super windy but fun.

During the second session of Conference, I went in to check on Diesl during his nap. This is SERIOUSLY how I found him. OUCH! He woke up with a bloody nose. Hmmmmm...I wonder why?
